Who We Are

The Hawaii Inter-Island Chevrah Kadisha is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing traditional Jewish burial preparation and memorial services throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

The Chevrah Kadisha — literally "Holy Society" — is one of Judaism's most sacred institutions. Our dedicated volunteers perform the mitzvah of Tahara (ritual purification) and ensure that every member of Hawaii's Jewish community receives a dignified, traditional Jewish burial in accordance with halacha.

Serving communities across Oahu, Maui, the Big Island, and Kauai, we are here for Hawaii's Jewish families during their most difficult moments — providing comfort, guidance, and the assurance that their loved ones will be honored with the utmost care and reverence.
